Girl Scouts of the USAThe national advocacy office of Girl Scouts of the USA saw that some of its member councils were building capacity and gaining an interest in public policy advocacy. To help Girl Scout councils across the country advocate for key issues, the national advocacy office engaged Policy Strategies and Solutions to build issue-based tools and strategies to promote public policy advocacy. The result, an easy-to-use advocacy workbook, focuses Girl Scouts nationwide on policy areas tailored to the organization's culture and needs. Local Girl Scout advocates now have the tools they need to bring the priority interests, messages and solutions to the forefront of public discussions — from town meetings to the U.S. Congress.
